Please read the following terms and conditions before proceeding with your reservation request, thank you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Important Note: Before taking a vehicle you will be required to sign a formal rental agreement and if you make a booking on this website will be bound by the terms and conditions of that formal rental agreement.  Full terms and conditions applicable to your hire of a vehicle from Budget Cook Islands are available on your copy of the rental agreement.

Rates are subject to change and availability at participating locations. Your rental rate will be confirmed and guaranteed at time of reservation. Unless otherwise stated rates include unlimited mileage, VAT (Value Added Tax) and third party liability.

The minimum rental period is 1 day. Rental days are based on 24-hour periods starting at the time the vehicle is collected. Late returns will be subject to an additional charge. If you need to extend your rental you must obtain authorisation from the rental location before the agreed expiry date. Additional days will be charged in local currency at the original rate quoted. A $500.00 holding deposit is required at commencement of each rental. When the rental is completed and the vehicle has a full tank and is returned in the same condition as noted on the quality control document, the deposit is refunded.

A cancellation fee is payable if the booking is cancelled. The fee is equivalent to one (1) day hire at normal rate for the group booked.  If cancelled within 72 hours of the pickup time or no show, the fee payable is equivalent of two (2) days hire at normal rate for the group booked. 

All drivers in the Cook Islands require a Cook Islands Drivers License. This may be obtained from the Police Department at a cost of $20.00 on presentation of your current drivers license. A Cook Islands drivers license reduces clients liability to the excess of $2,000.00. Minimum rental age is 18 years.

Complimentary pick up and drop off to accommodation and the Airport pick up and drop off is $15.00 each way.

Our roadside assistance services operates from 8.00am to 10.00pm 7 days a week. Fees may apply.

Car types
The cars illustrated in this website for each car group are shown for guidance only. Vehicle types and models will vary from country to country. Budget reserves the right to substitute an alternative car group when the car reserved is not available.
